Taylor began her career with YouTube initially recording ASMR videos using her smartphone. Shortly after hitting 50,000 subscribers within a month of uploading her first video, she appeared in a gaming video created by PewDiePie. Taylor's Youtube channel had reached 100,000 users within 2 months. Taylor ceased to produce videos and put them on private. She cited technical problems, equipment issues, and also she became overwhelmed by the attention she received from her fans. After a month long break Taylor began to make videos and uploaded videos again, among them the famous ASMR 10 Triggers to help You Sleep (35 million views as of the month of August, 2022). In July 2017 she uploaded another popular video, ASMR 20 Triggers to help to To Sleep (38 million views by August 2022). When she reached 1 million YouTube subscribers, she included in a Shane Dawson interview in August 2017. In February, Wired UK estimated that she earned $1,000 a day from advertising revenue through her YouTube channel.

Dennis Helfer along with Elaine Helfer were the parents of Helfer at the time she was born. She has German, English and Swedish descent. She attended William E. Hay Composite High School located in Stettler, Alberta. The three sisters she shares with lived on the family's grain farm. A modeling agency scout came across Helfer at the age of 17, while standing in line for a screening.
